Impacting the Supply Management Profession: Charting and Navigating Strategies for CPO and Your Team’s Evolution

March 7–9, 2007
Tucson, AZ

How can you help your career and your team’s career evolve at your current organization and beyond?

Synopsis

One of CSSL's strategic goals is to support you, the CPO, throughout your career—both in your current position as well as any future positions. With this goal in mind, this session will focus on your personal opportunities and challenges as a CPO and strategies for your career. This intimate get-together will explore how to maintain the fire in your career—whether that path includes continuing where you are, moving beyond purchasing/supply or exploring opportunities at a different organization. We will also discuss frameworks for developing others' careers, hear from those who have moved around in the profession including up the ladder, and discover how you can coach others on your team in their career and professional development. An executive coach and an executive search firm will offer insights on how to navigate the CPO career waters.
