Charting and Navigating the Pathways for CPO Evolution

December 5-7, 2005
Miami, FL

What do you need to evolve in your career at your current organization and/or beyond?

Synopsis

In line with CSSL's mission of defining the future for supply and the profession's leading CPOs, this session will focus on your personal opportunities and challenges as a CPO. This intimate get-together will explore how to maintain fire in your career — whether that path includes continuing where you are, moving beyond purchasing/supply, or exploring opportunities at a different organization.

You are invited to join the CSSL faculty, Trustees, and an intimate group of your peers to target the growth and evolution of supply and for leading your organization to heightened levels of success.

Program Focus

During this executive program, you will hear what skills and abilities are needed to increase your effectiveness in your current position and how to gain / use those traits to propel you forward. Also hear from CPOs and CEOs the ways they managed their careers and employed those skills to move forward. Identify your "personal how" for continued success in your career.

Program Themes:

  • What are the evolving skills and capabilities we need to acquire in the near-term for continuing career enhancement?
  • What expertise and proficiencies should we, as today's CPOs and aspiring CPOs, build for the near- and far-future?
  • Hear, from a panel of CPOs, their view of the future of supply and the attributes CEOs look for in taking organizations into that future when appointing CPOs
